He was well known in the local racing community, building and maintaining Whip City Race Track in Westfield, MA and the Pinnacle Race Track in Chicopee, MA in the early 1990’s, and thoroughly enjoyed grooming the tracks and observing close friends and family compete. Dear Richard, Linda & Family,
We send our heartfelt prayers and sympathy to you all on the passing of dear Harry. We have fond memories of Harry & Janet from our days in Suffield and, of course, Harry's Cobra. The Wood nieces and nephew were very special to Harry and Janet
Sorry we will not be at the services to pay our respects but you all will be in our thoughts. Rest in heavenly peace Harry.
God Bless,
Ellyn & Brad

Meeting Harry most every morning at D&D over the past ten years has always been a pleasure. Harry shared with our group of friends daily, with stories of his past racing days, working around town, always willing to listen to his friends, as well, Harry likes to let us know of the 4 to 5 bears that seemed to be daily visitors at his home, He talked about Patti cultivating a friendship with a turkey who would feed from her hand. Always speaking positively, Harry make comments or asked questions. Never a dull moment at D&D with Harry around starting with the adventure of seeing him drive in and park in his own special way.

We have known Harry for more than 40 years and have enjoyed all the moments shared with him and his family. We live next door to his brother Rich Wood, and we have shared good times and many memories with him and the rest of the Wood clan. He was a most welcome guest on many a Christmas Eve when he would arrive with his brothers , Donald and Richard and the rest of the Woods. Most of all I (Margo) remember his kindness to me at a most trying time. He was quite a wonderful friend and man. We will miss him.
Our thoughts are with all of his family and those loved ones in his past that we knew so well. Margo and Jerry Poulin
